I am reviewing a copy of Praying for America 40 Inspiring Stories and Prayers for Our Nation through FaithWords and Netgalley:

In 179, Just fourteen years after America won independence from Britain, with the help of France—our relationship with France had deteriorated. The French Revolution had plunged that nation into godlessness. Churches were closed, crosses were forbidden, and Christian worship was outlawed.   In 1798 though President Adams decided to trust in God’s Will and declared March.23.1798 a day of prayer and fasting.  Just under a year later on March.06.1799 he declared another day of prayer.

In Praying for America we are reminded We have a responsibility as believers to stand up, push back against evil, and influence the spiritual and moral direction of our country.

Throughout American History, Christianity has had it challenges, and has often times even been attacked and it tells of the men and women who stood up for their beliefs.

Every chapter of this inspiring and uplifting book shares demonstrating faith throughout the history of our nation.  Prayer for America is a needed book in the times we live in, times of anger and division.

I give Praying For America five out of five stars!
