I have been given a copy of Fatty, Fatty Boom Boom through Algonquin Books in exchange for my honest review which is as follows:
Fatty Fatty Boom Boom was a humorous, heartfelt memoir that drew me in from the first page to the last, Rabia Chaudry draws us into her world.
“My entire life I have been less fat, and more fat, but never not fat.” A childhood of being plied with American Processed foods, from places Like McDonald’s, Dairy Queen, and Burger King left for weight issues as well as issues with not being very physically fit. As she grew up she would leave the fast foods behind in exchange for the foods of her heritage, learning to cook them with wholesome ingredients and eat in moderation. And she would find the husband her family worried she never would, she would build a family of her own, and a life that included a successful career, and a family of her own.
Fatty Fatty Boom Boom is a story of one’s relationship with food, but it is more than that, it’s about self image, as well as family and so much more, a book written with humor and heart, it is definitely one I can highly recommend.
I give Fatty Fatty Boom Book five out of five stars
Happy Reading!
