Its the start of summer vacation and ten year old Wyatt finds himself having to entertain his cousin Allison much to his dismay.  Soon he finds himself showing Allison sround the farm before he and his buddies all go fishing.  His friens seem fascinated in finding out more about Allisons life in New York City.  The sky soon turns dark like a storm is moving in.

Soon Wyatt finds himself running after Allison who went after he dog in the middle of the Hurricane.  They managed to survive the  Tornado by finding shelter under a tractor and hanging on when the Tornado passes Wyatt looks for his two friends who were in the Storm Cellar.He is relieved when he finds his friends  are okay.

They are stunned when they realize a second Tornado is coming and they have nowhere to run or hide.

Disaster Strikes is a great books for boys or girls eight to twelve year old who loveaction adventure type books.

I believe this book will be an invaluable tool for young women.  I find it to be very encouraging.   I find the excercises in the What's Your Story sessions to be beneficial for a young woman's growth. 

This book deals with serious issues such as self image, peer pressure even rape  but it also has a playful side with its retelling of Cinderella into a modern day fairytale.

This book reminds young women that some activities like drinking and doing drugs take more than time they can take your life.  

This book gets a well deserved five out of five stars...

This is a great book for woman and a reminder for Christian Woman that our worth is not measured in whether or not we can find the latest designer clothes.  


This book also reminds us that it is okay to be girlie to enjoy being the women  God created us to be.  I like how she reminds us in this book that we dont have to be stick thin to dress or feel like a woman.  In this day and age with things like Anorexia and Bullimia being brought on from poor self image  I am glad to find a book that points this out.


I give this book five stars because of its value to a Christian woman.

This is a great book for eight to twelve year olds or those who are simply young at heart.


Kamillia is facing a lot of changes a new Mother a little sister and a baby brother when her father remmarries she is not ready to face any of this including the camp she really does not want to go to.  By the time her two week trial period is over and her parents come for visiting day she decides to stay.


I give this book five stars and though it is a rerelease of a book released in 1983 it is relatable to todays children as well...

This is a beautifully told lyrical novel that tells of young girl in Indias passion for dance.  It shows her learning to dance with her prostetic leg.  I find this tale beautifully told.  This is a story about falling down and getting back up again and it is also a story about showing others as well as herself what she is capable of.  

I give five out of five stars for this beautifully told book.
