Nikki has a dream while camping out with her best friend she dreams of an outcast named Adam shoots up there school. Nikki soon decides she needs to befriend Adam who is a loner who comes from a broken home. He lost his Mom to a drug overdose three years prior. Her best friend Candace worries when she decides to go to the lake with him.
Soon Nikki has made friends with Adam but he slips her LSD in a sugar cube before detention making her realize maybe she should not trust him.
Adam and his friend Thomas Harvey make plans to shoot up the school to protest their explosion but when Adam realizes how wrong he is Thomas decides to shoot him and Nikki. Because Nikki has gone to look for Adam who she finds out received bad news his Father is dying.
Will Nikki's concern for a friend get her killed?
